Life Point

B
reakfast club is an opportunity for you to come, bringing friends, family, coworker and neighbors to a free breakfast and life story presentation. Nothing moves us like hearing first hand a powerful life story, told by the person that lived it. Our goal in these events is to inspire, encourage and challenge. We hope that the ever changing stories from a diverse background of different speakers will help you believe in the power of life change, both for yourself and others you know. That these stores will help you to find the courage to face your life challenges. Most of all we hope these stories will help you realize that you are never alone; that there is a source of supernatural power to help you with life’s greatest challenges. Come, eat, listen, be inspired and challenged!

Our speakers for this fall include:

Ode to te Broken

Ode to the Broken, a groundbreaking combination of personal testimony and soul-stirring artistry. Speaker Mercy Hope talks from her background of a childhood of poverty and domestic abuse to the incredible healing power of God. The dance portion of the production features the dramatic choreography of Soli Deo Gloria Ballet’s Carolyn Currey, along with readings by Rachel Starr Thomson. Ode to the Broken is a truly life-changing production that delves deep into brokenness and, especially, the healing that is found in the love of God.

In twenty-two years of marriage, Lindsey Hall Yeskoo has moved fifteen times in and out of overseas Embassy and Consulate postings with her husband, a diplomat. Their children were each born in a different country. As you might expect, their unique circumstances presented them with extraordinary opportunities - and challenges too. However, nothing compared to the journey they began to take as a family when things suddenly started to go terribly wrong with their middle child, Emily. Medical investigations eventually resulted in a shocking diagnosis at age ten of a rapidly terminal, neuro-degenerative disease. As Lindsey, her mother, unfolds the astounding (and continuing) story, there will be no doubt in your mind as to why Emily's ongoing life, fragile though it is, continues to powerfully impact people all around the world with hope and renewed perspective in the face of broken dreams and daunting odds.

Major Brent Beardsley February 12th 10am
In 1993 and 1994, before and during the genocide in Rwanda, Major Beardsley served as the Personal Staff Officer to then Major-General Romeo Dallaire, the Force Commander of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda. He was an eyewitness to the genocide in Rwanda and collaborated and co-authored with General Dallaire, Shake Hands with theDevil: The Failure of Humanity in Rwanda, which was released in Canada in the fall of 2003 and later turned into an award winning motion picture. His story of human tragedy and his own personal faith and convictions that were tried by fire will inspire you with the knowledge that hope can be found in life’s darkest hours.

Worship In Motion has been inspiring audiences nationally and internationally for over 10 years. This Christmas, their presentation "O Holy Night" invites audiences into the holy mystery of what it means to welcome God into our world—and into our hearts—as the first Christmas becomes a present reality in our lives.
