What We Believe
About the Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God; that the sixty“six books, as originally written were inspired by the Spirit of God who moved human authors to write. We believe the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
About God
We believe in one God who exists in three equal persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ who came in human form to reveal God to humankind and to die on the cross as Saviour of the world. We believe that He rose from the dead and lives today.
The purpose of the church is to pursue God whole heartedly, love others intentionally and to reach out to the world locally, nationally and internationally.
About a relationship with God
We believe that a new life through a relationship with God in Jesus comes to us by grace; that the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross for us paid the full debt for our personal selfishness and self-centeredness (which the Bible calls sin) and provides the sole basis for forgiveness and a new beginning. This new life starts when an individual places their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus as the completely sufficient basis for their new relationship with God.
About the Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, with Jesus as its head. The members of the church are those that have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. The purpose of the church is to pursue God whole heartedly, love others intentionally and to reach out to the world locally, nationally and internationally. Our mission statement sums this up with LIFE POINT - NETWORKING WITH GOD, OTHERS AND THE WORLD.
